Grass Root Level Management

Ever thought that how efficient a Manager we are specially "We-Mumbaikars" 7 Seconds... 7 seconds we have to board or get down from a train. In that very 7 seconds each door of our 9 or12 dabba train throws out around 12-15 people and propels in another 20-25 people... wow! You Turn.. Then Twist... You align yourself to get down as per the hierarchy of stations... Passengers who want to get down in the next station have already lined up... And here you are trying to least board the train and hopefully get down successfully... And am very proud of the fact that 99.9% of time each individual alights properly and efficiently gets down on their destination platform... Strategy!!! :)

The efficiency does not stop just there... Specially in the ladies compartment...! You board... You use all your energy to squeeze through the gangway and still have the energy to scream if some one is pulling your hair or blocking your way to get in... And then comes Delegation!! You ask for a seat... "Kahan uterenge??" "Parel" "Mujhe dena" "Tum?"*The lady beside the previous one* "Dadar" "Mujhe dena...Mujhe yeh seat mil gaya(To the previous one)" And the saga goes on... Its like a contract you just signed... Its important to even cancel the previous one you see coz now the lady getting down at Parel can give the seat to some1 elz.. Imagine the authority you are at just coz you have a seat to sit!!!! That very property booked by the lady *read:seat* is now hers and just hers... If some one else sits... And the person's had it... Abuses... Screaming Shouting...! Early morning or end of the day the Voice remains Intact!!

When the commodity sellers come with their products and cross the whole gangway from one end of the compartment to the other the fourth seat-ers of the adjacent seats have to turn in opposite directions let the person go or even for that matter a fellow commuter... Strategy!! You even at times end by buying stuffs at prices that you end up bargaining and feeling elated about it... Isn't that what you do in business?? Even the Commodity seller has a strategy doesn't he?? Is he any less than a Manager??

In this rat race.. each one of us thinks about doing MBA? Trying to crack the CAT,SNAP,NMAT,CET, n number other such entrances just to get One "seat" in the college of your dreams to get that One degree to add in your resume vouching the fact that now you are a Management level entrant in any firm...! But in reality are we any less than managers??? Environment like Mumbai...itz trains... hawkers... All teach us Management.. without educational loans..fees..faculty...! Just One thing Pure Experience...!

I take opportunity to award All of you out there a MBA... A MBA in Grass Root level Management...!! :) * applause!*

2 words to remember

Hey folks... I wrote this article as a Friend of mine put this tiny little crawling worm*read:a gr8 topic to write on* in my brain. It chewed my brain cells the whole night and voila! Here it is...

What would be your condition after you travel in bus like say around 1 n half odd hours, singing laughing like crazy, then playing games splashing in water like small little kidos, water slides rain dance... return journey singing again Hopeless B grade songs... Exhausted!! ??

Nah... Was online chatting on gtalk.. playing stupid games on Facebook and reading RC passages on my student page*fyi studying for CAT*. And it was just not me but this other friend of mine too...Body didn't give up... Mentally Yes was exhausted*reason y this post is up today* but Physically was still capable of running around. That is because maybe I did not wanna get tired and sleep. It was a personal choice! 2 words just rang in my head then~Will Power.

Will power actually helps you sustain through the most difficult moments of our lives. It is like a buoy you tend to float on in the river of tiredness and "GIVE UP-moments". It just gives you an energy.. A boost to achieve something he/she could not even imagine . This has not happened to me for the first time. And am sure many reading this shall also agree the times when your Will Power just yelled a GO and there..U achieved it!!

I recollect an incident of my Har-Ki-Doon Trek in the Summer months of May 08... The last one kilometre was something I was giving up on... I just could not take the altitude change and my legs just gave up on me.. Surrendering to the terrain I just sat to rest. I do not what jolted me then just one thought..'If this journey was so beautiful how would it be once I reach the top... I had to do it!' That decision of mine is something I never regretted all my life...*for reference read the Day 3 post below describing my Har ki Doon Trek*

Many out there who are regular drinkers*not alcoholics but social ones*, examples of Will Power must have been experienced by you extensively. Many a times you sit and drink like the whole night and stand straight even after putting in so much of alcohol in you system. You don't tend to loose. Reason being you just do not want to loose it that day. Keep saying to yourself you wanna loose it and bam! I promise in the first shot you will begin to dance to the tunes of your drink... :)

The point is at any time in lyf Do not loose courage cause eventually it activates your Will power. I cannot see a reason why one should ever fail in life if one keeps the Will Power up. Hold on to yourself and Be positive.. Cause if you fail to hold oneself I cannot see any one elz helping you.. Cause a Man's Best friend is no one but Himself!!!!

Keep this 2 words in mind forever-Will Power as it acts as a Buoy to sustain & Solutions to all Problems.....!!!!

Rear view Mirror

Helyo folks!! Knw long since i wrote... But finally getting to it! No special reason m writing this.. Sumthin crossed my gray cells.. This has been long overdue.. Twas wid me for long finally penning it down...

On just another afternoon, was traveling in a frnd's car when the rearview mirror on my left caught my eye. Evrything I saw NOW was seen LATER in the Mirror.. My mind drew an analogy betn our LIFE and the CAR. One rides the CAR of LIFE evry single day.. Smooth roads Bumpy roads or Some Halts.. The rear view Mirror of our car is what resembles to our PAST.

Must say the Rear view Mirror is one of the most imp parts of a CAR, widout which imagine hw many times u wud hve bumped into the car while reversing or when sum @#$*er is overtaking you! ;) Similarly the REARVIEW Mirror of your Life*read: PAST* shows all the incidents, situations, laughter or sorrow. Widout wich one wud fail to learn frm his past mistakes or relish sumthin beautiful once again.. Depends on hw often r v using this Mirror in our lives?

Use it to relive those days wid frnds when u sat n gossiped, did a mistake and vowed u'll never commit it again*lemme guess u doin it again :P*,simply slept thruout ur day doin nuthin or for tht matter wen u spent sumtime wid ur luvd ones/urself wid a hot cuppa coffee n ur fav book.. Fights,Splits,Laughs.. jus abt nethin! Look back see what u missed or what u lack now... Relive-Revive-Realize..! Jus open your REAR VIEW Mirror tht u shut in n ADJUST as per needs!

And, Remember "Objects in the Mirror are Closer Than they actually Appear".. Bon voyage and Have a Safe Trip!!

A poem for a frnd of mine!!!

A beautiful Friendship began,
While making a Diwali lamp,
An awesum journey have lived,
Knowing u trusting u every second,
Some take ages to know each other,
But a bond like ours, like no other,
Strengthened within a second,
And there, all our worries were mend!
This frndship is sumthin I cherish to the core,
Today I promise one thing for sure,
I'll stay by your side no matter what,
Till my last breath, till my last thoughts,
For you, my cute buddy, I pray a beautiful day,
And I hope this poem has helped in a way,
I love u loadz and love u tons,
And This Friendship is Gonna be A Rockin' One!!!
